Windows 10 should work with existing hardware supported by qualifying OS versions, especially as MS are so keen for users to upgrade. I'm not interested in hearing that this is a "manufacturer problem" or that I should buy a new adapter. ![]() ![]() I also tried installing (manually) the TP-link Windows 8.1 圆4 driver and it seemed to work but suffered from exactly the same problem as the default Realtak driver, so I have now rolled back to that. Windows recognised the device during the install and installed drivers for it (Realtek driver version 1027.4.630.2015) which it says are up to date and, allegedly, "the best driver". Occasionally it disappears completely and I have to unplug and re-insert the USB cable. Since upgrading (clean install) to Windows 10 Pro, the adapter keeps dropping the connection under load and (apparently) having to be reset. ![]() I have a Realtek RTL8192CU USB Wireless LAN Adapter (manufactured by TP-Link) which was working fine under Windows 7 SP1.
