I actually have a rather different interpretation than the more obvious meaning. He wanted their love to be like a story and she replies you never could control me again. He has anxiety over her because of how wild their relationship is. He is fixated on her to the point of psychosis. Give me one last kiss because our relationship is over. The crown is a symbol for his burden of control which has evaded his grasp. He knows that its over and her coming is sealing it. She admits she was too wild to control, kind of like a rollercoaster. Now it switches to the girls perspective. He is currently trying to keep her close so is either at bottom or the top. He knows that their relationship is a peak and low type of relationship. He is twisting allegories (a symbol through physical meaning, like a pendant as a symbol for their love). In the first verse he talks about how he is deeply in love with this girl and is trying to tell himself it is more than it is. It is talking about an unhealthy relationship.
